Vinyls and Wine
04:51
|
|||
Place your shyness aside
and just let me share your fire
for this world was built for two
and the nightfall points to you
(on broken heavens we reside
postcards and books we use to hide -ourselves-)
unknown the future spreads ahead
is it too bold to take my hand in yours
Move, slowly walk, facing the fears we've made real
there's no perfect time, just what we live, so let it be,
be your own compass by the stars
for always you will not get offered back what you give away
This sweet wild innocence
flickers like a frail candle in raging storm
so just let me feel your breath
let me share with you my warmth
Under the same skies we did walk
vinyls and wine we use to mask our pain
so, as it happens that we talk
is it too much to ask for your hand in mine
Move, slowly walk, facing the fears we've made real
there's no perfect cause, just what we live, just let it be,
be your own compass by the stars
for always you will not get offered back what you give away

Lullaby
03:20
|
|||
Birds are flying back to nest
for the nestlings wait to be fed
as the sun sets over the great plains
crickets come to sing
as the sun sets over the great plains
evensongs' bells ring
Flowers dance on winnowing wind
butterflies do go to sleep
but the moonlight gently silvering
on the lake waters
oh, the moonlight gently silvering
all its sparkling shares
Fading away sounds of baby's cry
running water and hoverings
sounds of life shut-ting down for the night
( sounds of life going to sleep )
the soft night breeze now fades
on the dark sky some painted blue
now the stars will take their small fires out
daylight coyly shows
as the stars will take their small fires out
dawn is coming close

Little Storm
03:23
|
|||
Raindrops falling
out of sunshine
Peaceful blue skies
are now grayish
Behind your windows
a storm has broken out
In our forest
animals seek a shelter
Rain down , and burst out and cleanse yourself from pain
Clouds caused by foolish rumbles should soon be gone away
The sunshine of your eyes the most valuable light
so please lay next to me
Two dark puddles
Watching from afar
afraid to approach
within the storm
Did the howling cave
scare you away
There must be a way
to allay you
Rain dow , and burst out and cleanse yourself from pain
Clouds caused by foolish rumbles should soon be gone away
The sunshine of your eyes the most valuable light
so please lay next to me (and hold my hand)

Fridayman
02:26
|
|||
Fridayman , why so lonely
Would you smile, just if only
light years away in drifting thoughts
all your friends seem to you like pawns
on a huge board of chess
maths around are a mess
so you had to get out
Fridayman, you just broke free
in the sea one spring morning
just because out of the frame
someone up there, might have rigged the game
saved your mind from the pain
truth's a light that may burn
when you get close enough
Νow you float among the stars you loved

Took this plain house and made it a home
curtains red and flowers on the porch
took this dark room and poured in some light
gave those walls something to hold inside
Stray cats roam on the front yard at night
waiting for food - and petting
from your hand
a pair of sparrows built their nest
under our roof tiles - with hay
and feathered warmth
You saved a turtle wandering on the road
fostered a hedgehog baby alone
called every little bird by name
liked to travel but you returned
trained our cat to act like a dog
painted a couple of mugs - inspired
from our life
You made a custom calendar
depicting events - and memories
of our time
These dark puddles
bloomed cyclamens
with your care and love
This cozy nest
became a shelter
for cats and birds

Nest
05:52
|
|||
Green leaves turned yellow
Spring gave place to summer and fall
your eyes under the moonlight
couldn't promise but i knew they had it all
your hands on my own
as city lights glow
The whispers on sea shores
the breeze and the sound of waves
starlight sparkling
laying on the water surface
Like diamonds rare and pure
New leaves are blooming
Flowers grew and their scent came along
our nest in rainy evenings
would have to be a memory after all
to live on your own
as time seems to flow
the thorns in this path grow wild
the distance is silencing the voice
while inside stormed
two hands holding
swimming to safe shores...
Roam again by the side of light
Trust the moon on your glimpsing sight
Now you can fly on your own
Come fly with me
All of your fears will be gone
We built a diamond nest

Navy Blue
03:48
|
|||
Cold November morning , random
footsteps brought me along the coffee
shop across the
garden of music hall
Just a coin for coffee and the
hope to see your face
but possibilities weren't favorable at all
Same places, different timelines
moments mutually once shared (could be reshared)
'cause even my gray skylines
were navy blue when you were there
I lost some pages on the street, you know
the yellowed ones I
used to take notes,
were blown away by whirlwind
thought you might notice one of
those old paper pieces, If you'd
pass from there, and
maybe think of me
Same places...
Well, I know quantum mechanics
ban coincidences, but our
night driving song's still echoing
I'd give so much to see you staring
back at me, but if that happened
what could we do next but awkwardly sing...

Reverie
01:51
|
|||
Time will pass, and you will smile again
Out of the blue , one afternoon on your front porch
you'll go for walks,
and meet new people
and just some nights you'll think about
what you forgot
I still don't know, was it the plague that split us up
or just this reckless interaction's torn apart by heat
was it the time
was it a circle that just went through
leaving each one of us alone and wiser
but I miss you

Christmas Postcard
03:12
|
|||
Flickering lights, old toys and shiny balls
evergreen the tree, presents and wishing cards
Christmas time and well known festive sounds
echoing around , but you're not there to listen with me
Winter sky, and its brightest stars still remind your eyes
shining like glowing ornaments on snowy streets
Joyful songs, people hugging warm, and exchanging gifts
but what I'd really wish for is you to be here
Even so , I wish you well, 'cause I still feel the same
Rain outside and this old song about an impending storm
swirling back in my mind
Freezing house and I'm missing the cat
keeping warm the bed where we once used to dream side by side
End of year coming close again and on those empty walls, missing photos, just decorations I didn't want to place
Falling words from an ink pen on a paper piece which you may receive depending on tomorrow's morning mood
Even so , I wish you well, 'cause I still feel the same
Christmas time, and I still think of you...
